Prevention of unauthorised movement of EV cars
Modified Type 2 connector for engine disconnection.
At IONT tech, we developed the Type 2 connector to quickly and safely secure a plug-in hybrid or all-electric vehicle against unwanted movement.
In the event of an accident, the vehicle remains energised at all times and can move uncontrollably, either by being crushed by a person inside the vehicle or by a short circuit in the wiring.
The connector is compatible with all plug-in and electric vehicles on European roads. The connector can be easily removed and reused.
Practical demonstration of use
The connector simply plugs into the car's charging port and simulates the charging process. At this point, all electric cars switch to "P" and apply the electric parking brake.
The connector lets the vehicle know that charging is in progress, so it disconnects the powertrain.
The car stops immediately and the rescuers can work safely!
A burning electric car can get going
...spontaneously and very rapidly
How can the unauthorised movement of a burning electric car be prevented?
Rule 1:
Do not stand in front of or behind a vehicle
Rule 2:
Insert the charging connector as soon as possible
Why?
The driver can press the accelerator pedal in the car. He may be in shock or unconscious.
A fire can damage the wiring and a short circuit can cause the car to accelerate uncontrollably.
Connector for electric vehicle fire response
can simply be plugged into the charging port and reused. There will be no blockage in the charging port.
The connector is compatible
with all electric cars and plug-in hybrids on the market.
