Grant programmes supporting cycling and cycle transport 2025


In addition to the South Moravian Region, which has announced Grant Scheme 2 to support cycle transport and cycle tourism, similar programmes are also offered by other regions, such as the Hradec Králové Region (Purpose 2) or the Moravian-Silesian Region (Scheme no. 3), the South Bohemian Region, the region and the Integrated Regional Operational Programme IROP. These grant programmes aim to improve the supporting infrastructure and facilities  for bicycles and e-bikes. They support the enhancement of cycling infrastructure in these regions as part of cycle pathscycle routes and MTB trails, with an emphasis on developing cycle transport and cycle tourism.

Eligible costs:

  • Installation of e-bike charging stations including selected supporting accessories, such as service tools and power supply via a solar panel.
  • Building supporting cycling infrastructure, for example rest areas and shelters on new and existing cycle routes, within approximately 15 m of the cycle path or cycle route.

Benefits for applicants:

If you decide to make use of this grant programme, the grant will cover the cost of building high-quality charging stations, such as e:bike BAR or e:bike WALL from IONT tech. These charging stations offer a reliable, modern and safe way to support cyclists in both urban areas and tourist destinations. Installing these stations at various points around towns ensures convenient e-bike charging and encourages the use of cycle transport.


South Moravian Region

Period from 25 November 2024 to 10 January 2025.

Who can apply in the South Moravian Region:

  • Municipalities within the regions concerned.
  • Associations of municipalities in the regions concerned that are members of the National Network of Local Action Groups of the Czech Republic.
  • Local action groups from these regions.

Grant amount, South Moravian Region

  • Minimum grant: CZK 25,000.
  • Maximum grant per project: CZK 300,000.
  • The grant covers a maximum of 60% of the total eligible project costs, with the applicant required to provide a minimum 40% contribution of the total eligible project expenditure.



Moravian-Silesian Region

Deadline 30 September 2025.

Who can apply in the Moravian-Silesian Region:

  • Obce v MSK
  • Voluntary associations of municipalities based in the Moravian-Silesian Region
  • Statutory towns and city districts in the Moravian-Silesian Region

Grant amount, Moravian-Silesian Region

  • Minimum grant CZK 50,000
  • Maximum grant per project: CZK 300,000
  • The grant may amount to a maximum of 50% of the total eligible project costs. 


Ústí nad Labem Region - 

Reviving Tourism 2025  Support for Cycle Tourism

Start: from 1 August 2025/ rolling submissions until: 31 December 2025

Realizace: do 30. 9. 2026.


Grant recipients:

  • Municipalities of the Ústí nad Labem Region.
  • 3 certified destination agencies operating within the Ústí nad Labem Region.

Eligible costs:

Podpora cyklo:

Support for cycling supporting infrastructure: bike racks, chargers, benches, etc.), support for cycle route amenities (signage systems, rest areas).

Tourism attractions:

Building / modernising / equipping tourist information centres and visitor centres as part of their facilities, installing chargers for bikes and cars at tourist information centres, additional infrastructure for visitors (bike racks). 

Supporting infrastructure for cycling:

Developing the street furniture of existing cycle paths and cycle routes, installing charging stations for e-bikes, self-service bike repair stations, bike racks, bike storage facilities and cyclist amenities.

Grant amount:

Minimum CZK 1,000,000

Maximum per project: CZK 10,000,000

Grant budget CZK 38.6 million. 

A maximum of 70% of the total eligible project costs.

South Bohemian Region

Application deadline from 9 June 2025 to 23 June 2025.

Completion: by 31 August 2026

Who can apply:

  • municipalities/towns of the South Bohemian Region and the organisations they found and establish
  • organisations founded and established by the South Bohemian Region.
  • associations of municipalities, microregions, communities of municipalities
  • certified DMOs within the South Bohemian Region

Grant amount, South Moravian Region

  • Minimum grant: CZK 2,750,000 (i.e. the minimum total eligible project expenditure must be CZK 5,000,000)
  • Maximum grant per project: CZK 300,000.
  • The grant covers a maximum of 55% of the budget.

Pardubice Region


Announcement dates: 

First round of the call from 11 April 2025 to 30 April 2025, Second round from 1 July 2025 to 31 July 2025

Who can apply:

  • municipalities and towns in the Pardubice Region
  • association of municipalities (LAG, VAM) in the Pardubice Region
  • natural person engaged in business, or a domestic or legal entity (commercial companies, associations, public benefit organisations, registered institutes, foundations, endowment funds and others) focused on business or activities in the field of tourism (with at least 2 years' experience)

Grant amount:

  • Minimum CZK 100,000
  • Maximum per project: CZK 3,000,000
  • A maximum of 55% of the total eligible project expenditure.
  • The total volume of funds allocated to the programme is CZK 30 million.

IROP 2021 – 2027

Period from 11 October 2024  to 4 November 2025.

 Call 66.

Specific objective 6.1: Infrastructure for cycle transport (Integrated Territorial Investments – ITI) 

OPEN – only 38% filled

Target group: Residents of towns and municipalities, visitors, commuters travelling for work and services, public transport users, business entities, public administration institutions, NGOs.

Eligible applicants:

Regions, municipalities, voluntary associations of municipalities, organisations established or founded by regions, organisations established or founded by municipalities, organisations established or founded by voluntary associations of municipalities.

Permissible place of implementation: municipalities within the area defined in the ITI strategies

Prague and Brno metropolitan areas, Ostrava metropolitan area,

Plzeň, Mladá Boleslav, České Budějovice and Jihlava agglomerations. 

Karlovy Vary, Ústí-Chomutov, Liberec-Jablonec,

Hradec Králové-Pardubice, Olomouc and Zlín agglomerations


Expenditure on implementing supporting cycling infrastructure under sub-activity C:

Parking infrastructure for a maximum of 40 bicycles in a single location.

  • freely accessible fixed racks, lockable boxes,
  • the relevant paved and unpaved surfaces,
  • shelters, lighting, occupancy detection,
  • charging stations owned by the applicant/recipient serving to charge e-bikes at a price

customary for the place and time

  • rest areas and their further amenities (benches, tables, shelters, lighting, information panels and maps, litter bins, drinking fountains, toilets, service tools).
  • direct connection of the supporting infrastructure to a dedicated route for cyclists over a length of no more than 10 m;

    The maximum and minimum total eligible project expenditure under this call is not set.
