How to choose the right cable
11 or 22 kW?
A 22 kW cable is universal and also charges cars with an 11 kW on-board charger. An 11 kW cable is lighter and is enough if neither the car nor the station can do more.
What length?
Measure the distance from the station to the car’s charging port and add a margin, including for parking the other way round. An unnecessarily long cable is heavier, though.
For the car or for the station?
A Type 2 – Type 2 cable travels in your car and plugs into a station with a socket. An open-end cable is permanently connected to the station by an electrician.

Will the cable fit my car?
Electric cars and plug-in hybrids sold in Europe use the Type 2 connector for AC charging, so IONT tech cables fit all common models.
Do I need my own cable for the station?
Only if the station has a Type 2 socket. Stations with a tethered cable already have one. See our FAQ for more on choosing a station.
What warranty do the cables have?
IONT tech charging cables come with a 3-year warranty. We provide service directly in the Czech Republic.

Can I charge in the rain or in winter?
