"Electromobility Guarantee"

Until now, electric vehicle owners in the Czech Republic have had limited access to state support compared with other EU countries. However, the Ministry is responding to this situation and is offering companies subsidies for purchasing new electric vehicles powered by electricity. This support is available to small, medium and large enterprises, on condition that they are registered as income tax payers. Enterprises owned by regional and local authorities are excluded, and the support is not intended for private individuals purchasing electric cars.

Total support for companies can reach up to CZK 1.65 billion: A further CZK 300 million is  reserved for the purchase of charging stations. The call opened on 1 December and companies can apply for support until the end of September 2025. What is new is that companies will only be eligible for the current support if they acquire an electric vehicle using a loan or lease guaranteed by the National Development Bank.

The support includes a bank guarantee for a commercial loan from the National Development Bank and a financial contribution towards the purchase of electric vehicles and charging stations. Businesses can obtain a bank guarantee of up to 70% of the loan principal and a financial contribution of up to CZK 200,000 for passenger vehicles and CZK 300,000 for goods vehicles. Support for charging stations can amount to up to CZK 50,000 for AC stations and up to CZK 100,000 for DC stations with an output of up to 40 kilowatts. For more powerful stations, support of up to CZK 150,000 is available.

How to go about it?

Companies can apply for the contribution directly with the NRB, or through leasing companies or vehicle dealers  offering leasing. The Development Bank will assess whether companies meet the set criteria. The support limit for a single company is a total of EUR 200,000 over three years, with the option of including previous funding under pandemic programmes within this limit.

To complete the application for the NRB, simply add a quotation from IONT tech for the supply and installation of a charging station.
